About Us

Our Mission

The Friends of the Woodcrest Community Library is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and enhancing the resources of our local library. We believe that a strong library is the heart of a strong community. Through fundraising, volunteering, and advocacy, we ensure that our library remains a vibrant hub for learning, creativity, and connection for residents of all ages. Donations from our community help provide the library with programming and resources that would otherwise be unavailable.

Our History

The Friends of the Woodcrest Library started in 2003 along with the grand opening of the library in its first location in the Stater Brothers shopping center. We have grown with the library to include more board members and more volunteers, and most of us have been with the library in some form or another since it was built (some of us were kids in school at the time)!

Our goal is to continue to grow the Friends along with the library to keep it a stable hub for our community. We appreciate our patrons and volunteers and can't wait to see where we go from here.
